GLORIA ANN WEAVER KLEISER

CLARKS/VILLE PLATTE/CROWLEY - Gloria Ann Weaver Kleiser, 90, passed away on August 2, 2021, to be at home with her Lord and Savior. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Ville Platte.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at the church with funeral services following.
Pastors Bert Langley and Kevin West will officiate the service.
She will be laid to rest in Our Lady, Queen of All Saints cemetery under the direction of LaVille Funeral Home.
Gloria was born on February 22, 1931, in Clarks. She met her husband in Columbia and then moved to Ville Platte. She raised her three children there and helped her husband who owned a TV repair business, was a KVPI radio engineer, and was part owner of Kleiser Chevron. Gloria helped and enjoyed her in-laws, George and Mazie Kleiser, who lived next door. She would substitute teach in Sunday school, sang in the choir, sang in church plays, and sang in a trio at First Baptist Church of Ville Platte. She loved Jesus and the beautiful hymns which she played and sang in her living room. She was a mother who helped her family to know Jesus and live to honor the Lord. She was an example of that kind of living. She loved her flower beds especially daylilies. With their move to Crowley, she loved working for her son, Kirk, at Kleiser’s Chevron. She sang in the choir at First Baptist Church of Crowley and dearly loved her time with her two grandchildren, Kimberly and Sophie.
She will be forever remembered by her three children, George T. Kleiser, Kirk Kleiser (Marina), and Claudia Kleiser de Gravelle (Ray). Gloria Ann is also survived by her brother, Fred Frickie (Martha) of Decatur, Alabama; and two granddaughters, Kimberly Elliott (Chris) and Sophie Kleiser; and five great-grandchildren, who are Edith Fern Elliott, Lila Sage Elliott, Hattie Marie Guidry, Charlie Belle Guidry, and Graham Isaac Guidry.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Kleiser; one brother, J.A. Weaver; and two sisters, Janice Weaver and Barbara Frickie Pilcher.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Ville Platte.
