VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Mr. Louis Dillard Fontenot, 85, were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Mr. Fontenot, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away June 22, 2021 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
Father Mitch Guidry officiated the services.
Burial followed in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery under the direction of LaVille Funeral Home.
Visitation was held Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 5 p.m., and resumed again Friday at 8 a.m.
He will be missed by his loving family, wife, Lee Anna Guillory Fontenot of Ville Platte; son, Rayburn Fontenot and wife, Debbie, of Ville Platte; daughter, Wanetta Fontenot (Cary Meyer) of Ville Platte; sister, Irene Dufour of Evergreen; two grandchildren, Kayla Chapman and Brittany Monier; seven great-grandchildren, William Chapman, Carter Lafleur, Drew Chapman, Anna Kate Chapman, Aleena Monier, Paxton Monier, and Vandi Jane Monier.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sarah O’Connor Fontenot; brothers, Wilfred Fontenot and Dudley Fontenot; sisters, Loycie Fontenot and Lourie Lafleur; granddaughter, Tonya Fontenot; and grandson, Brandon Fontenot.
