Robert and Trudy McDaniel of Pine Prairie will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on January 25, 2019.
The couple was married on January 25, 1969 at First Baptist Church in Pine Prairie. They moved from Pine Prairie to Lafayette, where they spent the first 10 years of their married life before moving back home to Pine Prairie in 1980.
The McDaniels are both graduates of Pine Prairie High School and the University of Southwestern Louisiana (University of Louisiana at Lafayette). Trudy received a B.A. and Masters degree in Education, while Robert received a B.S. degree in marketing.
They have two children, Leanne M. Norvell and James R. McDaniel.
Leanne is married to Michael Norvelle and they live in Omaha Nebraska. Leanne is a speech therapist and Michael is a Lt. Colonel and meteorologist in the U.S. Air Force. They have two identical twin daughters, Jenna Elizabeth and Lauren Grace Norvell.
Their son James is married to Nina G. McDaniel and live in North Kansas City, Missouri. James is an electrical engineer and Nina is a marriage and family counselor.
The McDaniels say they are grateful for life’s blessings and humbly credit their long enduring marriage to the grace of the Lord.
Robert and Trudy plan to celebrate their anniversary when they visit their daughter and son in March in Nebraska.
