Wossman, the No. 31 seed, was out-matched by the No. 2 seed Pine Prairie from the start of the game. After senior Lady Panther pitcher Karli Ortego sent the Lady Wildcats down in order on three strikeouts in the top of the first inning, Pine Prairie collected 15 runs in their first at bat.

Hardy then stole third and reached home on a passed ball. Tori Johnson walked in her first plate appearance and promptly stole second and third base. Johnson reached home on a double off of the bat of Abby Fontenot.

Soileau reached second on a stolen base and touched third on a wild pitch. Allie Fontenot walked and moved to second on a stolen base. Both Soileau and Fontenot were brought home when Kailey Soileau doubled.
Kailey Soileau got all the way to the plate on two passed balls. Kaitlin Robinson walked and stole second. McFarlain drove Robinson home on a single up the middle.
McFarlain reached second on a stolen base and third on a passed ball. Hardy walked and reached second on a stolen base. With runners at second and third, Johnson tripled to center field, scoring both McFarlain and Hardy.
Abby Fontenot blasted a two-run home run over the left field wall to give the Lady Panthers a 13-0 lead. George walked for the second time in the inning, reached second, stole third and came home on another two-run blast, this time off of the bat of Brianna Wall. Those two runs ended the scoring in the first for Pine Prairie.
The Lady Panthers picked up their final runs in the bottom of the second, with McFarlain hitting a third home run for Pine Prairie during the at bat.
