VILLE PLATTE- Funeral services were held at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Monday, January 29, 2018, for Bobby G. Bolfer, 70, who passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 in Ville Platte.
Father Mitch Guidry, pastor of Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, was celebrant of the mass and conducted the funeral services.
Burial took place in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery in Ville Platte.
Bobby was born in Ville Platte, on January 16, 1948 to Lindsey and Hilda Marie Boone Bolfer.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 47 years, Mary Castille Bolfer; two daughters, Tammy LaFleur and husband, Donald of Ville Platte and Belinda Bolfer of Pine Prairie; six grandchildren, Donovan and wife, Amber Lafleur, Lindsay and husband, Nathaniel Davis, Donald, Jr., Samantha, Harley and fiancée, Joseph Guillory, Christian; four great-grandchildren, Neahemiah, Kaysen, Kensley and Andie; one brother, Landris Bolfer of Ville Platte.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey and Hilda Bolfer; two brothers, Robert “RJ” Bolfer and Jimmy Bolfer; and one sister, Rita Fontenot.
The family requested that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. A rosary was recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, by Deacon Ben Soileau. Visitation continued Monday, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
