Mamou elects new mayor, chief

By: TONY MARKS Editor Voters in the Town of Mamou have elected a new mayor and new chief of police after all the numbers were reported on Tuesday, November 8. Leisa Deshotel, current alderman-at-large, defeated current mayor Ricky Fontenot after receiving 51% of the vote.
