Kelly Sullivan, the mother of an 8th grade gender non-specific student at Vidrine Elementary, addressed the policy committee of the Evangeline Parish School Board about concerns of the dress code policy discriminating against her son and similar students in the district.

Turkey Creek revises water project

Back in 2021, the Village of Turkey Creek applied for federal money in the amount of $6,152,787.00 for a water project through the state’s water sector board. A year later, the village was approved for $2.125 million in the first round of funding.
