The Tri-Parish workforce has lost 2,455 people from a year ago, according to statistic released Friday by the the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

Boggy Bayou Queen Riane Elizabeth Motty, 19, will be saying goodbye to her royal duties when a new queen is crowned on May 8.

Terry Campbell’s love of people and making new friends, in part, led to him being named king of this year’s Boggy Bayou Grounds Event.

Ms. Boggy Bayou Queen Jenny Foreman, 32, will pass her title to a new queen on May 8. Before she retires her crown, Foreman wanted to share some of the highlights of her reign.
