Ville Platte, Mamou host clean up days

The City of Ville Platte applied for and was honored to receive the 2023-2024 Keep Louisiana Beautiful receptacle grant. A total of 10 receptacles were provided through the grant and will be used in key areas where an abundance of litter is a regular problem in the city.

Victim is identified

The victim of a fatal shooting in Ville Platte that occurred Tuesday, April 16, has been identified. Forty-year-old Christopher Guillory, according to reports, was found on the porch and full of blood after being shot multiple times at a residence on Reverend E.D. Alfred Street.
