District attorney announces retirement

After 30 years of service in the Evangeline Parish Criminal Justice System, District Attorney Trent Brignac has announced his retirement. Brignac began his criminal law career in 1996 when he became the Ville Platte City Prosecutor. He then went on to become an assistant district attorney in 1997.
