Chataignier Elementary, on Thursday, February 13, held its DARE Graduation. The event featured remarks from Mamou Chief of Police Pat Hall along with remarks from DARE Officer Katina Serie and students presenting reflections on some of their lessons throughout the 10-week period.

By: TONY MARKS Editor A correctional officer at the Pine Prairie ICE Processing Center is in custody on drug related charges. Items related to a burglary of a Pine Prairie pharmacy were also recovered as part of the investigation.
