Update is given on Crooked Creek Rec Park

Cooped up residents of Evangeline and surrounding parishes can still enjoy the sights and sounds of nature by going to Crooked Creek Recreational Park, but there are restrictions.
According to park director Kim Ortego, “the beach is closed. We’re not allowing anybody on the beach.”
Ortego also said, “We’re not renting out the pavilion to any large groups. I have signs being made stating no large gatherings of 10 or more people.”
The reason for the restrictions is to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the area.
“We’re going to try to prevent that from happening as much as we can,” Ortego concluded.”
