Two alleged suspects have been taken into custody by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for their participation in an armed robbery which took place earlier this month in Ville Platte; while two other individuals are still wanted by deputies.
“On Thursday July 11, 2019, at approximately 0003 hours,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release, “an Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy was dispatched out for a home invasion on the 400 block of Sue St. in Ville Platte.”
The press release continued as follows: “The initial investigative interview by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Investigations Team revealed three male subjects carrying guns held the victim at gun point in his home while a fourth male subject waited in the car. The victim stated the male subjects took several items out of his home when they found out he did not have any money in the residence. At some point, the male subjects made the victim and his daughter get in his own personal vehicle to go get money at the ATM. Once the three male subjects found out he had no money in the ATM, they proceeded to Abraham Ave. in the Kennedy Subdivision where they exited the vehicle and fled on foot.”
“The four male subjects were later identified as three 17-year-old juveniles along with Quanisky Mouton (DOB 7-18-01), all of the Ville Platte area. One juvenile was located and detained by the Eunice Police Department, and another was later located and detained by the Eunice City Marshal’s Office. Both subjects were transported to the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail pending charges.”
“The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Eunice Police Department and the Eunice City Marshal’s Office for their assistance during this incident.”
“The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in locating Quanisky Mouton and the other juvenile. They are still at large and considered to be armed and dangerous.”
