Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine announced testing for coronavirus will resume Monday, July 13, at the Northside Civic Center.
She said the testing will be from 10 a.m. to noon with drive-thru testing. She asked citizens to pre-register by calling 337-678-9000.
Testing is free of charge. Anyone may be tested, including children and those without symptoms.
“Our numbers are rising fast,” Mayor Vidrine exclaimed. “Please get tested. Please wear a mask in public. Pray for our city, parish, state, and for all people to take this virus seriously. Pray without ceasing!”
As of noon on Thursday, July 9, the number of COVID-19 cases for Evangeline Parish was 282, up 21 from the day before.
