SHS Foundation gives back to Sacred Heart School

For the 16th straight year, the Sacred Heart School Foundation was able to give Sacred Heart School a generous disbursement.
On April 15, Dawn Shipp, principal of the high school department, Virginia Morein, principal of the elementary department, and Father Tom Voorhies, pastor, were delighted to accept this year’s gift. The disbursement in the amount of $42,840.97 represents the earnings on total assets for the 2020 calendar year as well as half the proceeds from the SHS Foundation Dance, Buffet, and Auction.
SHS Foundation disbursement funds are to subsidize projects that enhance, supplement, or surpass the basic curriculum of Sacred Heart School. The Sacred Heart School Foundation has given a total of $415,028.45 throughout the years to Sacred Heart School.
This year, the gift will go towards Chromebooks, Chromebook Cloud Print and Scan for Copiers, and HMH Go Math Grades 6th – 8th. Sacred Heart School is very grateful for the generous disbursement and truly appreciates the generosity of everyone’s donations and contributions to the Sacred Heart School Foundation.
Sacred Heart School Foundation recently welcomed eight new members. They are Marcus Fontenot, Judge Gregory Vidrine, Dr. Brandon Fontenot, Dr. Ellis Landreneau, Kelli Rhodes Vidrine, Maggie Thevenot Eades, Shane Darbonne and Dr. Lori Vidrine Parks. The foundation now has seventeen directors and twenty-one members.
