Shots are fired at Lincoln Rd Fire Station

At approximately 4:30 a.m. Saturday, shots were fired at the Lincoln Road Fire Station in Ville Platte. According to interim Fire Chief Fabian Poullard, two firemen were on duty at the time. No one was injured, but one bullet entered through the west wall of the building, went through to the other side where the fire trucks are, and entered the firemen sleeping quarters. Two additional bullet holes were found in the front of the building. Police Chief Neil Lartigue said the incident is under investigation with a detective looking at security video footage.
