After all the dust settled on Tuesday’s elections, it was determined Pine Prairie will have a new village councilman.
Kevin P. Rodriguez earned 200 votes which was good enough for 19%. Based on the formula, he had enough votes to put him over the top in the race.
Rodriguez will now join incumbents Tammy Hammond and Gilbert Bordelon on the council. Hammond was the leading vote getter with 359 votes (34%), and Bordelon received 243 votes (23%).
Missing the cut were Gretchen Long Lamke with 161 votes (15%) and incumbent Debbie Ogé with 102 votes (10%). Ogé had withdrawn from the race previously, but her name still appeared on the ballot.
