SHS Golf Scramble
The SHS Golf Scramble will be held on Friday, June 18, at the Ville Platte Country Club. It is hosted by Blue Gold Champ Club.
It is a four person scramble. Children 12 and under can play ladies tees. Seniors can play senior tees.
Entry fee is $400 per team or $100 per person. Tee times is 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
Additional opportunities for prized await at exclusive hole number 7.
First 22 teams will be accepted.

LSUE Bengal
Baseball Camp
LSUE Bengals will hold a baseball camp from June 7 through June 11 for ages 5 to 14.
Early registration deadline is May 28 and costs $95, and on-site registration costs $220. Registration includes lunch provided by LSUE cafeteria.
Daily schedule is Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Bring bat, water jug and/or any type of sports drink, sneakers, and sun screen.
Young Adult Retreat
Coming this July is the first of its kind at Our Lady of the Oaks. It is a young adult co-ed retreat led by a dynamic young Jesuit, Fr. Joe Laramie, S.J.
Fr. Laramie is a member of the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province. In May 2020, he was named National Director for the pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network.
As a dynamic speaker, he has guided people through the Spiritual Exercies in many contexts such as for college students, women, priests, on Kairos, at an Oakland prison, for police and firefighters, for FOCUS missionaries, via Skype.
He is the author of Abide in the Heart of Christ: A 10-Day Personal Retreat with St. Ignatius Loyola based on the Spiritual Exercises.
The retreat is from Friday, July 9, at lunch to Sunday, July 11, at lunch.
Suggested offering is $200; registration fee of $25 is part of the $200.

The Evangeline Community Action Agency Inc. and Food for Families/Food for Seniors will be distributing the food boxes via drive-thru at the Ville Platte Civic Center on Thursday, May 4, from 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
