VILLE PLATTE, LA - The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office needs the public assistance in locating a missing person.
On Wednesday, June 24, 2020 Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies were dispatched out to 1036 Robert F Kennedy Street in reference to a Welfare Concern. The reporting person Carmoleta Chatman of Denham Springs reported that she was concerned about her brother Daniel Robert Young, Jr. (DOB 1-12-1973) in which she last spoke to him on Saturday June 20, 2020. Over the past few days contact still hasn't been made with Daniel, which led Chatman to file a missing person report.
Detectives spoke with Daniel's girlfriend Kristina Bias on today, June 25, who stated Daniel left their residence in a grey 4 door crew cab GMC Sierra pick-up truck on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at approximately 1:00 o'clock in the morning. Descriptive details of the vehicle are that it has 3 after market rim and tires on it with the 4th being an unmatched spare tire and rim. It is also believed that the vehicle's passenger side window is either broken or missing.
Daniel was last seen wearing grey basketball shorts with an orange stripe near the pocket or along the sides of the shorts. He also had on a white t-shirt. A photo of Daniel Robert Young has been included below.
