Melancon announces bid for Ville Platte city marshal in April

Louisiana National Guardsman Bryce Melancon has announced his candidacy for Ville Platte City Marshal.
“I, Bryce Melancon, am honored to announce my candidacy for Ville Platte City Marshal of Ward 1 in the April 4, 2020 election,” Melancon said in his announcement.
Melancon’s announcement continued as follows:
“I am a graduate of Acadiana High School. I have served and am currently serving in the Louisiana National Guard for eight years as Military Police and a Member of the Military Police SRT Team.”
“I am a graduate of Acadiana Law Enforcement Training Academy class 148 and have served as a patrol officer for Ville Platte City Police.”
“I am a Ville Platte native and father of two beautiful children.
