ST. LANDRY - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte on Saturday, March 03, 2018, for Mark Sundance Sanchez, 37, who passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018, in Pine Prairie.
Brother Kevin West, pastor of First Baptist Church of Ville Platte, will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in the Vandenburg Cemetery in Bayou Chicot.
Mark Sundance Sanchez was born in Ville Platte on May 02, 1980, to Vincent Sanchez and Pamela Dupre Franques. He proudly served in the United States Army for 14 years. During this time, he served with the “2nd Platoon 96 Romeos” for one tour in Afghanistan and one tour in Iraq. Mark will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Pamela Dupre Franques and step-dad, Jody Franques of Bayou Chicot: maternal grandmother, Elta Mae Charlie Dupre of Pine Prairie; sisters, Jamie Michelle Franques of Ville Platte and Maegan Lee Franques of Bayou Chicot; brother in law, Chavis Tezeno of Ville Platte; daughter, Cheyenne Supriya Sanchez of San Antonio, Texas; children he raised that he thought of as his own, Jade Jazlene Gonzales of San Antonio, Texas, and Michael Lee Garza, Jr. of San Antonio; niece, Jazmyn Tezeno; nephews, Josiah Ortis and Chavez Tezeno; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Louisiana and Texas.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Vincent Sanchez; maternal grandfather, Joseph Verbis Dupre; and paternal grandparents, Beatrice Sanchez and Audon Sanchez.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Friday, March 02, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
