Mamou softball sign vandals caught

Vandals struck the Mamou ballpark as the 2015 12U Pony League World Series Championship sign was spray painted. Chief of Police Brent Zackery reported Wednesday evening that the vandals had been detained and questioned thanks to his assistant chief Phyllis Soileau and Officer Johnny Freeman.

“Officers went out and asked a couple of people,” Chief Zackery commented about the investigation. “Tips came in, and it just led us to a couple juveniles. We were able to question them with their parents and found out exactly what happened.”
