Happy Mother's Day wishes to all from our staff and the Library of Board of Directors!
Summer Reading activities are approaching! The nationwide theme this year is “Tails and Tales,” and we sure have some fun lined up to make it a memorable month. Registration begins on Monday, May 24, at Main and all branch libraries. Programming begins on Tuesday, June 1, at Main and all branches. Here’s a big thank you to our sponsors so far: Cabot Corporation, Eric Gil State Farm Insurance, Vidrine Ace Hardware, Bon Aimee’ Insurance and Real Estate Services, Teet’s Grocery, T-Boys Slaughter House, and Basile State Bank! It’s because of the commitment of literacy and cultural enrichment opportunities of these sponsors that these summer programs will be outstanding!
June is going to be the main month of reading for prizes, crafts, and entertainment at all of our branches on the following days and times: Turkey Creek branch library on Tuesdays at 10 a.m., Pine Prairie branch library on Wednesdays at 10 a.m., Chataignier branch library at 1 p.m. (new this year), Mamou branch library at 2 p.m., and Ville Platte Main library at 4 p.m. (new this year); Basile branch library on Thursdays at 10 a.m. Visit our web and Facebook pages often for updates, and soon you will read about the surprises we have yet to reveal!
