Gov. Edwards approves major road project for US HWY 167 to Ville Platte

Evangeline Parish Police Jury President Ryan LeDay Williams has shared some big news that involves a major road project Governor John Bel Edwards has approved for US Highway 167 North from the St. Landry Parish line to the city limits of Ville Platte.
In regard to this Williams released the following statement:
“According to DOTD’s Bill Oliver, Governor John Bel Edwards has approved a project that calls for overlaying and building shoulders on Hwy 167 North from the St. Landry Parish line to VP city limits. The project will be done in sections and is scheduled to be completed in 6-8 months once a project number has been assigned. I’d like to thank Governor John Bel Edwards for this award along with Mr. Bill Olivier with DOTD and we look forward to doing more things throughout Evangeline Parish with State and Federal Funds, Eric Lafluer State Senator, Bernard Lebas State Representative, Eric Solieau President of the Police Jury Association, All of my fellow Police Jurors along with our Secretary Treasure Donald Bergeron and Public Works Director Chester Granger, Mr. Wayne Vidrine and Ms. Renee Brown with Chamber Of Commerce and everyone else who played a part in obtaining these funds to move forward with this project. Thanks again.”
