Eunice resident arrested in Pine Prairie for burglary and theft

On May 4, 2020 Pine Prairie Police investigated a burglary from a residence in Pine Prairie. Through witnesses and video surveillance, Brandon Scott Darbonne of Eunice was identified as the suspect. At the time, Pine Prairie Police was unable to locate Darbonne and he was entered into the NCIC system as wanted. On August 28, 2020 Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office had made contact with Darbonne due to a traffic violation where he was arrested for our warrant. Darbonne was transferred to our custody and booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail for Simple Burglary and Theft where he is being held on a $40,000 bond set by Judge Ortego.
