EGHS holds upcoming meeting

The Evangeline Genealogical and Historical Society will hold a meeting on Saturday, July 20, 2019, beginning at 9:30 a.m. inside the Mary Galasso-Foster Multipurpose room of the main branch of the Evangeline Parish Library in Ville Platte.
The speaker will be Michael Wynne, and the topic will be “My life in genealogy and things anyone can do to easily preserve their history.”
In addition to being a genealogist, he is a collector. He has been collecting artifacts since he was a small child. He has donated historical collections to 25 different institutions throughout Louisiana. Mr. Wynne says he’s devoted his life to finding great things and preserving them for the future.
Mr. Wynne has authored several books and he will have them for sale at the meeting:

6. The Great American Photograph Album Series (10 volumes to be released, three volumes released so far, 2019).
