The 2nd Annual Bunny Surprise will take place the weekend before Easter for Evangeline Parish residents. The event is a fundraiser for the Miles Perrett Cancer Service. Interested persons make a donation ($25 for 25 eggs, $40 for 50 eggs, or $55 for 75 eggs), and eggs filled with surprises are brought to the donor’s house and hidden around the yard with a note from the Easter Bunny. Interested persons may register their own children, grandchildren, friends, neighbors, even adults.
Heidi Jeanmard and Connie Lamke are hosting the event. Jeanmard chose this event in honor and memory of her father, Mike Fontenot, who passed away from cancer. She chose to donate the proceeds to the Miles Perret Cancer Center because they helped her father when he was ill. In 2019, they delivered to approximately 30 children and raised $585.00 for Miles Perret Cancer Center.
Forms can be e-mailed, faxed, delivered, or picked up at City Court from Heidi Jeanmard (337) 459-7557 or the Ville Platte Police Department from Connie Lamke (337) 831-9915. Forms need to be returned by March 2, 2020 by 12:00 noon.
