Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 8th of February 2021 The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department K-9 Unit stopped a car on main street. The deputy made contact with the driver and sole occupant. During the stop the deputy became very suspicious of the way the driver was acting. The deputy then deployed his k-9 Diego which gave a positive alert to the presence of narcotics. Deputies then conducted a search of the vehicle and located illegal narcotics which led to the following.
