Deshotel is re-elected as Pine Prairie chief of police

With all of the precincts reporting in Pine Prairie, Chief of Police L.C. Deshotel won re-election to another term. Chief Deshotel received 275 votes which was good enough for 64%.
He defeated challenger Josh Estes who received 153 votes which was good enough for 36% of the vote.
In the village’s elections for aldermen, the leading vote getter was incumbent Tammy Hammond with 359 votes (34%). Fellow incumbent Gilbert Bordelon was next in line with 243 votes (23%).
The third place finisher with 200 votes (19%) was Kevin Rodriguez who finished ahead of Gretchen Lamke’s 161 votes (15%) and Debbie Oge’s 102 votes (10%).
The top three are elected, but the outcome is yet to be determined.
