Nicole LaTour Snoddy has announced her run for Ville Platte City Marshal in the November election.
“Fellow residents of Ward 1,” Snoddy said in her announcement, “I, Nicole LaTour Snoddy, am announcing my candidacy for Ville Platte City Marshal. I have been married to Jody Snoddy for the past 13 years. I am the daughter of Lorriane LaTour and the late Garic LaTour.”
“I have three children, Sadie, Eric, and Maggie Fusilier. I also have two grandchildren, Tristin and Madeline Fontenot. I have worked with former Secretary of State Fox McKeithen in public relations at the Louisiana State Capitol for two years.”
“I also attended college at Northwestern State University of Shreveport and Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office Post Training Academy.”
“I am certified in M26 Advance Taser and Taser x26 OC Aerosol Projector and am POST certified.”
“I have been a full-time employee with the Ville Platte City Marshal’s office for 14 years and part-time employee for two years. All together, I have worked in the office for 16 years.”
“I have worked under three prior city marshals, Eddie Soileau, Mike Lee, and Ronald Doucet. My duties included running the office, preparing bonds and warrants, and executing civil proceedings for the Ville Platte City Court.”
