Deputies arrest man for possession of drugs

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the recent arrest of Jason Soileau on drug charges.
In a press release, the sheriff’s office said, “On February 4, at approximately 1:54 p.m., an Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched near the intersection of Chicot Park Rd. and Maxie Rae Blvd. for a vehicle driving recklessly. Once in the area, the deputy located the vehicle at the Chevron station on Chicot Park Rd., and a traffic stop was initiated at that time.”
The press release continued, “Louisiana State Police- Troop I was then called out to conduct a Field Sobriety Test due to the suspect staggering and twitching upon exiting the vehicle.”
“The suspect was identified to be Jason Soileau of Crowley. He was booked into the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail on the following charges: two counts of prohibited acts schedule II, two counts of possession of schedule II, prohibited acts drug paraphernalia, distribution or possession of legend drug without prescription, no insurance, expired driver’s license, and owner to secure registration. Soileau’s bond was set at $135,000.00 by 13th Judicial Judge Chuck West.”
