Criminal Patrol Unit Makes Large Seizure of Narcotics and Currency

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

In the early morning hours of November 18th 2020, The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Patrol unit executed a search warrant on a residence located at 601 North Coreil street in Ville Platte. Deputies made entry of the residence and detained two suspects, who were sleeping at the time. The deputies searched the residence and located a large amount of assorted illegal narcotics and currency from the sale of these narcotics. The search warrant was a result of information received and investigating the information.

The following illegal narcotics were recovered and seized.
45 Grams of marijuana.
32 hand rolled marijuana cigars.
763 tablets of ecstasy pills.
1 container of Promethazine.
90 tablets of Gabapentin.
19 tablets of Vyvanse.
2 tablets of Phentermine.
10 tablets of Quetiapine.
2 containers with a white powdery substance.
Total street valve of the illegal narcotics is $8,900.00

Deputies also recovered and seized over $ 17,800.00 in US currency from the drug proceeds.
Deputies also seized two vehicles that were purchased through drug sales.
This resulted in the following persons being arrested and charged.
