Crime/Abuse Prevention Walk is planned

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of St. Landry-Evangeline Inc. and the St. Landry-Evangeline Parish Sexual Assault Center (SLESAC) is proud to announce their partnership for their 8th Annual Crime and Abuse Prevention Walk honoring National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
The Evangeline Parish Walk will start at the Gula Miller Walking Park, located at 143 Church St. in Chataignier, on Saturday, April 17, at 10 a.m. The walk will conclude at the same location. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, everyone is asked to wear a mask.
Pre-registration for this free event is on Eventbrite (8th Annual Community Crime/Abuse Prevention Walk), or registration can also be done on site.

CASA of St. Landry-Evangeline Inc. works to secure safe and permanent homes for abused and neglected children in foster care.
SLESAC works to alleviate the suffering of sexual assault victims and to prevent sexual violence, working to empower survivors by encouraging them to make their own choices about reporting, prosecution, pregnancy, future safety, and other issues raised by the experience.
