On March 31, 2020 at approximately 5:00 a.m. Officers responded to an attempted theft report in the 800 block of West Main Street. Video surveillance showed three black males attempted to pull the front panel off of an ATM with a chain attached to an older model dark colored Chevrolet pick up truck. When the attempt to pull off the front panel failed, the suspects then attempted to gain entry into the ATM with crowbars, screwdrivers and hammers. After multiple unsuccessful attempts the 3 suspects fled the area in the pick up truck.
