Candidate announcement: Councilwoman Buxton seeks re-election in Pine Prairie

Pine Prairie Councilwoman Tammy Buxton has announced her candidacy for re-election on the November ballot.
In her announcement, Councilwoman Buxton said the following:
“I, Tammy Hammond Buxton, am seeking re-election for my candidacy of village council for the Village of Pine Prairie. I am the daughter of the late mayor and village councilman, Terrel McCauley, who served the Pine Prairie community proudly for over 25 years. I am also the daughter of Magretta Veillon McCauley. I have proudly served on the village council for the past 21 years, and, as a lifelong resident of Pine Prairie, raised four daughters in this community. I am the proud grandmother of six grandchildren.”
“I am fully invested in making our community a better place to live, work, and raise our families. I am a graduate of McNeese State University with a degree in education, a retired Kindergarten teacher for 33 years, and am currently serving as Dixie Youth Softball president. I have served as a Dixie softball coach for 23 years, and I am the president of the Orange and Black Booster Club.”
“I look forward to serving my hometown for the next four years while expanding and growing towards new community projects. I would greatly appreciate your continued support in this upcoming election. Thank you. Tammy Hammond Buxton for village council #26.”
