I, David Charlie, am pleased to announce my candidacy for Mayor of Mamou. I am a long term resident of the town. I am a son of Burk Charlie and Sheryl Richardson. I have a loving wife, Samantha, along with four beautiful children.
I was a former member of the Mamou Fire Department for three years. This year I graduated from the Aleta Police Academy and in 2004 I graduated from the St. Martinville Police Academy. In 2008 I was blessed to become the K-9 officer for the Mamou Police Department. I have now been in law enforcement for 10 years.
I would like to create an open door policy for the town. We need to remind our children of the wonderful heritage we had in the past. I would like to bring back activities to the town such as the skating rink, fairs and rodeos.
I, David Charlie, #58, would love your vote and support on November 6th, for Mayor of Mamou.
