Arrests keep coming for criminal patrol unit

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

On the 21 of November 2020 The Evangeline Parish Criminal Patrol Unit was working the north end of the parish. Deputies saw a white commit a traffic violation. They stopped the vehicle on hwy 167 at Mayo road. When deputies made contact with driver, he showed signs of impairment and extreme nervousness. The driver and three passengers were removed from the vehicle due to the extreme smell of marijuana coming from it. Deputies then questioned the driver and passengers. One of the passengers admitted to having marijuana inside of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle and the passengers were also searched. This led to the discovery of Methamphetamine on the driver and one of the occupants, which led to the following arrest.
