Upon their failure to appear to court for arraignment, bench warrants were issued Thursday by 13th Judicial District Court Division B Judge Chuck West for the arrest of the parents of a nine-year-old boy who was the subject of a missing person’s investigation.
The bench warrants were later recalled against Paul and Minette Thibodeaux of Point Blue after they appeared in court later in the day. Their arraignments were then reset to February 7 in front of 13th Judicial District Court Division A Judge Gary Ortego.
The Thibodeauxs were arrested earlier this month for cruelty to juveniles after their son Bryson had disappeared. Bryson had gone missing some time in the afternoon of Friday, December 28, and was found under a bed inside a neighbor’s home in the early hours of Sunday, December 30.
Their bonds were set at $35,000.00 by Judge West, and both parents had been bonded out of jail through a bondsman. Bryson, and his sister, were taken into the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services.
