Terry Campbell’s love of people and making new friends, in part, led to him being named king of this year’s Boggy Bayou Grounds Event.
Campbell, the 60-year-old son of Albert and Clara Campbell, looks forward to sharing his knowledge of Pine Prairie and the festival to new people he meets.
When he is not meeting new people, he keeps busy doing other activities that he loves such as cooking and gardening.
Campbell will be crowned at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 8. “I think it takes a person with patience, understanding, love for their community, and the willingness to help others to be considered a good festival king,” he said.
