PROSPER FONTENOT III
December 4, 1968 – March 12, 2021

Funeral services for Mr. Prosper Fontenot III were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021, at First Baptist Church, Pine Prairie. Mr. Fontenot, 52, of Pine Prairie, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Mercy Regional Hospital, Ville Platte.
Reverends Joey Swinnea, Barry Gautreaux, Phillip Holloway, and Danny Swinnea officiated.
Interment followed in Friendship Cemetery, Pine Prairie, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
A time of visitation was held at First Baptist Church, Pine Prairie, on Sunday, March 14, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visitation resumed on Monday, March 15, 2021, at 9 a.m. until time of services.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He had a heart of gold and a deep love and passion for his family, friends, and his church, House of Prayer! He never met a stranger and was known as a giver because he was always happy to help others. His hobbies included cooking, hunting, fishing and motorcycle riding. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of 31 years, Tina Fontenot, of Pine Prairie; one son, Daniel Brock Fontenot (Tori), of Turkey Creek; one daughter, Sabrina Strother (Zayne), of Elizabeth; his parents, Prosper Fontenot II and Patty, of Duralde; one brother, John Fontenot (Michelle), of Leonville; three sisters, JoAnna Fontenot, of Mamou, Nicole Guillory (Mitch), of Duralde and Melissa Richardson, of Alexandria; and two grandchildren whom he adored, Mason Fontenot and Chloe Fontenot.
He is preceded in death by one son, Jacob Fontenot; one brother, Dustin James Fontenot; paternal grandparents, Prosper and Hazel Fontenot; and maternal grandparents, Clancy and Agnes Marcantel.
Pallbearers honored to serve were John Fontenot, Michael Fontenot, Lester Jones, Joe Gautreaux, B. J. Gautreaux, Justin Wilson, Zach Gautreaux, and Isaac Swinnea.

LEONARD WAYNE PREJEAN
March 31, 1953 - March 12, 2021

Leonard Wayne Prejean, 67, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away March 12, 2021, in Bentonville, Arkansas.
A visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 16, 2021, with services that followed at 11 a.m. at Hunt Chapel on the grounds of Pinnacle Memorial Gardens in Rogers, Arkansas. The service was live streamed at https://my.gather.app/remember/leonard-prejean.
Burial followed in Pinnacle Memorial Gardens under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Rogers, Arkansas.
He was born March 31, 1953, in Ville Platte to R.L. Prejean and Gloria Belle (Fontenot) Prejean.
Wayne has worked in the oil industry for many years, 15 of those years were with Pennzoil. As an entrepreneur, he later designed and manufactured his very own line of hunting tree stands and products under Non-Typical Outdoors, LLC. Wayne was a very skilled archer and has won many titles and awards in both indoor and outdoor archery competitions. As an advocate for the sport, he had a passion for teaching anyone who wanted to learn the art and skills of archery, especially children.
Wayne was an avid bowhunter and golfer and enjoyed bass fishing. He will be greatly missed by his Labradors, Jade and Brie, whom he trained to love duck hunting as much as he did. His family often referred to him as “The Dog and Child Whisperer” because dogs and children had a way of gravitating to him wherever he went. He loved being a dad and papa and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Wayne was a kind and gentle man who never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Laura Prejean; one son, Rick Prejean and his wife, Tammy, of Ville Platte; two daughters, Tobie Moran and husband, James, of Mamou, and Candace Varner and husband, Jimmy, of Centerton, Arkansas; two sisters, Becky Fontenot and husband, Danny, and Christine Hudspeth and husband, Roy, both of Ville Platte; two brothers, Michael Prejean and wife, Mona, of Houma, and Robert Prejean of Ville Platte; eight grandchildren;one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

June 21, 1938 – March 12, 2021

Funeral services for Mr. Dean Everette Clark will be held at 10 a.m. today, March 18, 2021, at Pine Prairie Church of Christ. Mr. Clark, 82, of Turkey Creek, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 12, 2021, in Prairie Manor Nursing Home, Pine Prairie, LA.
Reverend Kevin West will officiate.
Interment will follow in Clark Cemetery, Turkey Creek, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
