After receiving funding from the state for the construction of a new multipurpose building at Bayou Chicot Elementary, work is set to begin on the project at the middle of this month.
The $1 million in funding comes from money allotted in the state’s budget. Evangeline Parish School Board Member Peggy Forman praised State Senator Heather Cloud for her work in getting the funding.
