Ville Platte city hall closure

Ville Platte City Hall will close at noon today in accordance with the latest
National Weather Service advisory. Sandbags will remain available for
individuals who are capable of filling bags themselves at The Girls and Boys
Place located at 220 S. Thompson Street. Also, for the elderly, if you go to the
City Barn at 809 W. Hickory Street, someone will be there to load sandbags in
your vehicle until 5:00 PM, weather permitting. The self-bagging option at 220 S.
Thompson Street is not subject to a time constraint. Individuals living outside the
city limits are encouraged to check with the Evangeline Parish Police Jury.
