Tax proposition for new parish jail is to be discussed

Secretary-Treasurer Donald Bergeron reported to the Evangeline Parish Police Jury the parish had to transfer funds from the American Rescue Plan into its general fund to cover the costs associated with the housing of out-of-parish inmates.
