Swamp Pop Reunion Dance tickets are on sale

Tickets for the 16th Annual Swamp Pop Reunion Dance are on sale. This year’s event will be held on Monday, February 28, at the Ville Platte Civic Center. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the music begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person. Attendees must be at least 18-years-old. There will be a cash bar, Mardi Gras chicken and sausage gumbo, and a new 2022 Swamp Pop T-shirt for sale. The purchase of a ticket allows free admission to the Louisiana Swamp Pop Museum on the day of the event only.
Tickets may be purchased at Ville Platte City Hall, KVPI Radio (open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.) Floyd’s Record Shop (open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.) and at the Louisiana Swamp Pop Museum (open on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.) Tickets may also be purchased by mail, by credit card over the phone, or through www.thecypressband.com. Willie Tee and his band Cypress will be performing. Confirmed Swamp Pop stars at this time are Johnnie Allan, Lynn August, Donald Babin, V.J. “Boo” Boulet, Grace Broussard, Arthur Broussard, Roy Chaffin, Junior Dugas, Tommy G., T.K. Hulin, Sir Christopher John aka “Frog,” Charles Mann, Ken Marvel, Bobby “Booga” Page, Jay Randall, Kenny Tibbs, Ryan Vanicor, and Charles Veillon with additional performers being added daily. Musicians sitting in with Cypress will be Sid Janise, Earl Taylor, Mike Vice, and Gene Romero.
As a reminder, no outside liquor may be brought into the event since this is a fundraiser for the Louisiana Swamp Pop Museum located in the Swamp Pop Capital of the World.
A limited number of tickets will be sold, and another sell-out crowd is expected.
