Evangeline Parish Police Jury President Bryan Vidrine announced the parish got awarded a grant through Acadiana Planning Commission for fiber optic cables to be placed throughout the parish and parts of Acadia Parish and St. Landry Parish. The entire grant amount is $35 million.
