Tropical system dumps heavy amounts of rain on Ville Platte, parish

As the remnants of Tropical Storm Nicholas stalled over southwest Louisiana, it caused strong thunderstorms that impacted portions of Evangeline, northern Acadia, central St. Landry, and east central Allen Parishes over a two-day period.
