Special Olympics
Evangeline Parish School Board’s 2021-2022 Special Olympics will begin for middle school students in 4th to 8th grade with in-parish competition only.
The games will begin with bowling on October 27 at 10 a.m. at Ville Platte High School.

Election Notice
According to Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court Randall M. “Randy” Deshotel, the Evangeline Parish Board of Election Supervisors will meet on Friday, September 10, at 10 a.m. in the office of the registrar of voters for the purpose of drawing commissioners and alternates for the election of October 9. This meeting is open to the public.

Fall Revival
Eastern Seventh District Baptist Association will hold a Fall Revival on September 14 and September 15 at 7 p.m. The revival will be held in the Antioch Baptist Church Parking Lot located at 203 E. Lincoln Rd. in Ville Platte.
You may sit in your car or bring a lawn chair to listen to the word of the Almighty God from two inspirational men of the Gospel, Rev. Lawrence Dick Jr. and Reverend Matthew Alfred Jr.
If you choose to sit in lawn chairs or stand outside of your vehicle, please follow COVID-19 guidelines.

Food for Families/ Food for Seniors
The Evangeline Community Action Agency Inc. and Food for Families/Food for Seniors will be distributing the food boxes via drive-thru at the Ville Platte Civic Center on Thursday, October 7, from 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
