A new trash collection service contract with Bayou State will begin July 1. Bayou State, based in St. Landry Parish, will hold a five-year contract for trash collection in Evangeline Parish. Each of the parish’s 14,500 residences will receive one 96-gallon Toter trash can, which will soon start arriving.
