The Ville Platte City Council heard from dog pound volunteer Melissa Gibson at the council’s September 14 meeting. Gibson was accompanied by local architect and animal rescuer Jill Stevens and animal control supervisor Aaron Baughman. Gibson said the pound is in dire need of repairs. Baughman said he is unable to pick up dogs because of the quality of the shelter.
