During the August 9 meeting of the Ville Platte City Council, KVPI radio icons Jim Soileau and Charlie Manuel were honored for their years of commitment to local broadcasting. A plaque and a framed letter of recognition was created for each by Mayor Jennifer Vidrine and the council.
